Stell dich am besten zunächst kurz vor, wer du bist, was du machst, woher du kommst, wo du jetzt wohnst, wie alt du bist etc.

Mein Name ist Thomas Mikusz, ich bin 41 Jahre alt und ich komme ursprünglich aus Wien. Seit 15 Jahren lebe ich  in den USA. Ich wohnte zuerst sieben Jahre in Miami Beach und NYC, seit acht Jahren ist nun Hollywood, Kalifornien mein Zuhause. Ich liebe Abwechslung und neue Herausforderungen, somit ist auch mein Arbeitsbereich vielfältig. Ich arbeite hier in Los Angeles als Schauspieler, Model, Sprecher und Fotograf. und auch ab und zu als Reiseleiter. Außerdem koche ich leidenschaftlich gern für Freunde und habe letztes Jahr “Das Perfekte Dinner” gewonnen.

My name is Nicole Elmore. I am originally from Germany (City: Moenchengladbach) and am a marketing consultant and business writer providing small businesses and start-ups with entrepreneurial insight and useful marketing tips on my blog (http://myblog.nicoleelmore.com).

Why did you decide to move to the US?

When I was a young girl, I aspired to once become a writer and author and because I felt I was limited to reach my goals in Germany. So I applied with “EF” for an exchange year in the United States. I ended up in Kentucky. I had a great year, improved my English skills, but unfortunately had to return to Germany after my High School Year.

I am a musical saw player (for those who don’t know what a musical saw is, this is me in action: http://youtu.be/lPvTTc7jAVQ).  I play the saw in concerts, on movie soundtracks, TV commercials, etc.

I was born in Israel but because my parents traveled a lot, I got to live in Switzerland, France, Germany and England as a kid.

Hallo Werner, stelle Dich am besten zunächst kurz vor.

Ich heiße Werner Bösel, bin 54 Jahre alt und komme aus Berlin. Vor 17 Jahren zog es mich wegen meines Kurschattens ins Ammerland. Dort jobbte ich einige Zeit als Aushilfstaxifahrer und entschied mich nach kurzer Zeit, das Taxiunternehmen zu kaufen. Mit 500,- DM und einem guten Konzept fing ich an. Die anderen Taxiunternehmen in der Umgebung gaben mir nur ein halbes Jahr. Aber da hatten sie die Rechnung nicht mit mir gemacht!

Mein Motto heißt: Anderes machen, als Andere!

Ich liebe amerikanische Fahrzeuge und lebte dieses auch in meinem Taxiunternehmen aus. So konnte man bei mir die verschiedensten Fahrzeuge, wie: Stretchlimo, Caddilllac, Monstertruck, Hummer  H2 Taxi  mit Flügeltüren, einen Pick Up und noch vieles mehr buchen.

When I was two years old my father moved us back to his home in Nigeria. I grew up there where I went to medical school and moved back to the UK. After three years in the UK, I moved to the US.

My name is Annette Pfund-de Cavel and I am German. I currently live in Newport, Kentucky and my husband (who is French) owns a restaurant in Cincinnati, Ohio. I have an 8-year-old daughter and work in the hospitality industry.

Why did you decide to move to the US?

I moved to the US somewhat by accident. I was a management trainee with Trusthouse Forte and spent 3 months in New York as part of the training program. I returned to Europe (and my boyfriend) with every intention of staying in Europe. However, I received a job offer from one of our New York properties and an 18-month visa. I really enjoyed New York and wanted to see more, so I accepted.
